Waves Finally Came Saturday

I haven’t posted for the last couple of days because it’s been about the same. Wind has been trashing the waves. The wind is still bad, but a couple of spots were fun. Here’s some shots from Haleiwa in the afternoon. I heard we had a pretty good contest with Ashley, Bobby and Lucas all making the finals. Nice job.

Bad Today But Surf on the Way

Wind was thrashing it today. Here’s a couple shots from Rocky Point. Surf started to come up just before dark. It’s amazing how quickly it can go from flat to overhead surf. Literally within and hour. It’s supposed to be 10-12′ this weekend!

The surf jumped up a little bit. The wind is breaking it up a bit. It’s still way better than home!

I’m going to try my best and get out a journal each day for you guys while I’m here on the North Shore. We arrived today and have scored on a cool rental right in Haleiwa. Right on the sand! This is the view from our place. Had a shave ice this evening after dinner. Nothing better.No surf today, but there’s supposed to be a swell coming. I’ve only got my little digital camera, but I’ll try and get some good action shots.
