It doesn’t look like there’s any surf. But I’m gonna charge it if anyone wants to come down. We’ll do a photo session at Shores/Scripps. Meet by the bathrooms at the north end of the Shores parking lot at 1pm and we’ll walk down toward Scripps to find some waves. We’ll be done at 3pm.

Here is the team for NSSA State Championships at Churches on Sunday, March 8th. EVERYONE is invited to come down, cheer on the team and be a part of a really cool contest. There’ll be lots of good waves and good surfing going on.

We are going to hunt down some waves on Monday, January 19th. We’ll meet in the school parking lot at 7:30am. We’ll be back around Noon. There should still be some overhead waves so be sure you want to charge. Post a comment if you want to go so we can organize some drivers. Parents, if you can drive let us know too.

The sweatshirts are here for the new year. They came out killer. COME TO PRACTICE ON WEDNESDAY TO PICK YOURS UP. We’ll be handing them out after you get out of the water around 4:45-5pm. Also, we will be running heats all this month to figure out who will surf for the team at the NSSA State Championships on Sunday, March 8th. Be on the beach at 3:30pm. Don’t show up late and expect to get in a heat.

Hope everyone is having a good vacation. We’ve got some big events coming up in 2009. Here’s a rundown.
YMCA Contest at La Jolla Shores: Saturday, January 10th. Hit the YMCA Link in the right column for registration info. It’s $30 if you sign up ahead of time or $40 on the beach. We’ll have the tent up, coach people on heat strategy, take pics. Come out and have fun.
NSSA State Championships: They happen March 6-8th at Churches. We’ll have an open competition in January to figure out who’s going to be on this team. Only students at Muirlands can do this one.
