RUNNING HEATS THIS WED 3/18

We’ll be running heats on Wednesday, March 18th. The winner will get a special prize! Oh Wow! Be there at 3:30 if you want to go for it. Also, my youth group is doing a broomball night this Friday. It’s the second best sport behind surfing!

This is Bill from Australia. He will be 80 this year and still rides a 5’6″ fish! That’s what’s so great about surfing. You can do it for the rest of your life. And guys like Bill are showing us you can rip your whole life too!

It’s a 1/2 day this Wednesday, March 4th and we’re charging BLACKS. Meet at the gate at 12:45. We’ll be back up at 4:30pm. It’s supposed to be 4-6 foot!! I’d bring a bottle of water and a snack of some kind.

Kyle showing us all the elements of a good turn. Step 1:bottom turn. He’s looking right at the part of the wave he’s going to turn at.

Step 2: Changing direction. He’s looking back to where he’s going to go and using his arms pull the turn around.

Step 3: Extension. Pushing his legs into the turn, pivoting around his right hand.

Step 4: Complete Commitment. This ain’t no 1/2 turn. He put everything he had into it and good form helped him to control the power and complete the turn.
