2018 Surf Team membership signups are now open. Don’t wait!
Student Membership is open to all Muirlands students.
First practice and Parent’s Meeting is September 14th, 2018 at 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm at La Jolla Shores.

Camping Trip March 3-5th 2017, South Carlsbad State Beach

Deadline for signup is Tuesday March 28th. Availability is limited to 50 campers.
Details
Where: South Carlsbad State Beach Camp Ground
When: March 3 to March 5
Departure: 11 am Sunday March 5
Cost: $40/attendee
The cost includes dinner Friday night, 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
Students must provide their own camping equipment.
Adults who sign up will serve as chaperones. A limited number of vehicles will be permitted. Chaperones with RV’s/campers will have priority. Each student will be matched with a chaperone prior to the event.

IMORTANT!! If you have a 7am slot… be there 15 min early (water start at 6:55am)
Location – Pacific Beach – between Law st and Pump House (tower 27)
Here is the schedule for the contest. All Finals are 20 min long rather than 15min (subject to change):
7-8am boys shortboard (quarter final)
8:00-8:30 boys longboard (semi final)
8:30-8:50 girls long board (final)
8:50-9:20 boys shortboard (semi final)
9:20- 9:40 girls short board (final)
9:40 – 10:10 Boys Novice (semi final)
10:10 – 10:30 Girls Novice (final)
10:30 – 10:50 Boys Novice (semi final)
10:50-11:10 boys longboard (final)
11:10-11:30 boys shorboard (final)
12:00 – 12:30 – Awards, Prizes, Pizza & Food.

Conditions look great 2-3 feet with very little wind:
Parents : Please let us know ASAP whether your surfer will be able to compete this Saturday so your surfer does not lose his spot!
If they are able to compete, please go on-line and pay the competition fee of $20 for your Surfer (see below)
Alternates should provide availability, however they do not prepay for the competition. A fee will only apply if they are called upon to compete.
